Logical and emotional actions

Do we act based on logic or emotional decisions? I’d argue that we act mostly on emotions. You need emotion to care for other people, ambition or desire to achieve something. Cause from an anthropological perspective, things happen. Nothing good or bad, but numbers and patterns.
And it seems to be a pattern that I found in various books, from Seth Godin’s “All marketers are liars” to Daniel Kahneman’s “Thinking fast and slow” or even Napoleon Hill’s “Think and grow rich” and Malcolm Gladwell’s “David and Goliath”.
